The Reason We Build Bridges

“Of all the things created and built by humankind, nothing in my mind is better or worthier than bridges. They belong to all and treat all alike; they are useful, always built for purpose, at a spot where most human needs entwine.”
— Ivo Andric, “Bridge Over the Drina”

This quote could as easily be applied to strategy as the physical manifestation of the tools that connect two sides of a chasm…as Dr. Colin S. Gray so aptly described in his epic tome on a theory of strategy, The Strategy Bridge: Theory for Practice.

We highly encourage the careful reading of this book…the inspiration of this very blog, as you can see from its name. For a quick primer, we also encourage you to pick up Infinity Journal’s Special Edition, “The Strategy Bridge.”
